DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS: 

JOB SUMMARY

As an assistant manager, full back Olympic Torch Relay Manager up to build up a solid sponsorship activation plan and execute of the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic torch relay. Also to support and communicate with other functions to maximize the value of the asset for the Coca-Cola System in Korea.

 

The Opportunity

This is a significant appointment for Coca-Cola Korea, and as such, has a high level of priority within the global sports asset management, as the successful candidate will make a major contribution to growth and development, both in Korea and to the global sports asset management longer term.  We are therefore clearly seeking to identify and attract the very best individuals, with the skills and experience to enable the continued roll out and growth of the Korea business and to add to the capability within the international team.

 

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
•Support the Olympic Torch Relay (OTR) manager, especially development and execution of the initiatives for the Olympic torch relay across the Olympic legacies.
•Work closely with internal stakeholders and support OTR manager on one-to-many communications with them in the development of the OTR IMC campaign and channel execution.
•Active participate in the agency communication and OTR team management during the OTR route.
•Assist, inspire and build a high performing team to maximize the OTR for the business towards 2018.
•Supporting various stakeholders (POCOG, other Presenting Partners, World Wide Sports (TCCC), IOC, and etc.) communication, information flow, presentations and budgeting.
•To make various documents to communicate with internal and externally.

 

QUALIFICATIONS / COMPENTENCIES / SKILLS
•Strong aspiration about Coca-Cola and the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Game
•A great communicator, who is comfortable briefing, providing feedback, and managing stakeholders within the business, suppliers and partners.
•Understanding of strategic marketing and the discipline of business planning.
•Ability to multitask and prioritize between projects and varying demands of project stakeholders.
•Great physical strength with strong spirit for long lasting on-site operation.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Korean and English.
•Highly personable, approachable, works well within a team and embodies a positive spirit.
•Able to deliver on time, on target.

 

RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS
•Marketing and brand experience or sport property activation environment.
•Knowledge & understanding of Korea and its trade operating structure is highly desirable.
•Previous global sports event or similar event experience preferred.

REQUIREMENT / WORKING CONDITIONS
•Language: Korean (Fluent) and English (Fluent) is required.◦At a minimum, 100 days of continuous travel away from home working as part of the core OTR team required.


1. Pre relay; Travel requirement 60%
•Office and outdoor environment
•Extensive travel across the country even route locations
•Flexible working hours as required for the job including weekend

 

2. During relay; Travel requirement 100%
•100% on the road environment, continual moving, hotels transport etc
•Constant 7 days a week for up to 100 days
•Highly demanding both mentally and physically
