Job Description:

Manage supplier panel for total APAC sites, including maintenance of supplier data base in SAP and Apex system. Master user of GE sourcing tools, include new supplier on board tool/workflow and SAP system. Send RFQs to suppliers and collect supplier offers on time. A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

Manage suppliers’ data base in GE different systems, include SAP, Apex and SMF system;

Enable new supplier on board and setups, or modify existed supplier data base;

Verify requirements from requestors in established Workflow process.   Issue RFQ to suppliers.

Place and follow-up on POs. Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution. Manage problems and schedule changes. Update requestors.

Resolve outstanding AP issues. 

Broadening knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in own discipline to execute functional policy/strategy; still developing functional knowledge and skills.

Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined policy/parameters.

 

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree;

Experience in procurement;

Experience to work with international suppliers and stakeholders;

Improvement of workflows and manufacturing processes;
