ABOUT JOB
As a part of the store visual merchandiser/activity team you use your extensive knowledge of people’s life at home and your high level of home furnishing competence to present and communicate the IKEA product range in ways that make it attractive and relevant to your local market. You also support customer self-choice in the IKEA store and the IKEA mechanical sales system.

YOUR JOB
I contribute to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishings in my primary market area (PMA) in order to maximize sales and long-term profitability. Based on my knowledge of people’s life at home and home furnishing competence I present and communicate the IKEA offer to make it attractive and relevant to my local market. I work to visualize the uniqueness of the IKEA product range within specialty shops, compacts, studios, the Self-serve furniture area, the Swedish Food Market and activities throughout the store to distance us from the competition. I contribute to maximizing the impact of these media in order to convert visitors into satisfied customers and stimulate repeat visits, creating vitality in all areas of the store throughout the year. I actively work to develop and implement:

• Store layout as a commercial tool
• Range presentation
• Store communication

I work with my manager and the Communication & Interior Design (Com&In) team to ensure high quality, simplicity and cost-consciousness in the execution of our work by using global tools and best practices.

You have
• A passion for home furnishing, visual merchandising
• Creative ideas
• Eye for aesthetics and details
• Ability to draw, visualize and present an idea
• Practical, hands-on approach to work
• Confidence in approaching and talking to people
• Enthusiastic about assignments and working with others in a team
• Good personal disciplines and an ability to work to set deadlines
• A flexible approach/open to change
• Ability to use and take personal initiative
• Ability to prioritize and organize own work to make the most efficient use of  time available
• Experience of working with AutoCAD and computer literate
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• A design-based education is preferred
•  Speak, write and read Korean and English
