Key Accountabilities
•Develop and implement an account plan for each key account in order to maximise volume, profit and share performance.
•Implement the applicable brand strategies for key accounts in line with Channel Plan.
•Assist to maintain meaningful account files for each account
•Assist to manage budget for trade program’s, trading terms, promotional support and merchandising for key accounts.
•Assist to assess business performance of BAT and competitors in key accounts in order to enhance effectiveness of developed trade programs.
•Takes personal responsibility for own growth and development.
•Operate inside of the Marketing Leadership Behaviours and Guiding Principles.
•Able to work unsupervised in the delivery of business targets
Internal
◦Assist the Key Account Manager with the development of a long-term account strategy.
◦Work closely with other Key Account Managers and Key Account Executives to deliver Channel and Company targets.
◦Engage with Key Account Filed Supervisor to ensure that the appropriate levels of execution are achieved for account initiatives.
◦Provide insights around key accounts to Brand Executives in the development of brand programs.
External
◦Develop and manage the business relationship with each account.
◦Develop joint business initiatives with strategic account.
Essential requirements Knowledge, Skills and Experience
◦2 - 3 years FMCG experience including field & regional level account management. Strong skill set in analysis, negotiation, leadership, communication, influencing and business development
◦Desired:
◦Experience of a non-tobacco FMCG environment
◦Relevant degree and/or business qualification
◦Ability to develop account plans consistent with the marketing strategy and business direction.
◦Ability to develop trade programs for key accounts.
◦Fact based selling skills
◦Negotiation Skills
◦Effective presentation skills
◦Ability to influence senior management (internal & external).
◦Ability to interpret and use marketing research information.
◦Ability to recognise potential business opportunities presented by environmental trends.
◦Solid understanding of Category Management & ECR process how to fully utilise the various central resource.
