Job Scope:

This is a regional role. He/she will be part of the Regional Market Development team Asia. Currently this role has a majority of the focus in Korea’s cosmetics business, with a potential need/requirement to expand the scope to various Asian countries in terms of marketing and business development activities.

This role acts as bridge function collaboration between global marketing team and country sales forces to ensure on one hand global strategy is properly communicated into country organization. Meanwhile country and regional needs will be highlighted and channeled back to global marketing team. In addition, this role would be a strong asset to support business development in Korea.

 

Job Description:

Market strategy/Marketing plan

• Fully in line with global marketing strategy and capable of translate it into local marketing plan, tactics and actions.

• Co-develop annual regional marketing plan with the regional marketing team.

• Develop country-specific marketing plans, align with local sales and other relevant sales support organizations to ensure effective implementation.

 

Business Development and Market assessment

• Able to identify and deliver sufficient growth opportunities through regular and well-planned market development efforts and deliver tangible values to the business

• Collect and report market and competitors' intelligence in the responsible market. Translate customer/market/competition insight into systematic marketing initiatives to reflect segment and product strategy.

 

Marketing communication

• Develop and execute on conducting country and regional specific marketing communication i.e. brochure, seminar, exhibition, roadshow and advertisement.

• Coordinate and align regional level marketing communication plan

• Work closely with regional technical application center to develop proper demo tools and documentation to support sales activities.

 

Candidate Profile

• Education:

1. University degree minimum level, graduated in Science (biochemistry, chemistry or biology, plus master degree) or Business

2. Sound background in cosmetic science in particular for cosmetic actives

 

• Working Experience:

1. Candidate with cosmetic industry experience is a strong asset, preferably from one of the leading global personal care players

2. >3 years in sales and marketing, business development

3. Familiar and with some experience of global/regional marketing concept and business model

 

• Job specific Competencies & Skills

1.  Very proactive working attitude, willing to learn, ability to think strategically

2.  Strong customer orientation

3.  Good analytical skills and presentation skills

4.  Strong at communication and cross functional collaboration, good interpersonal skills

5.  Fluent in English (speaking & writing), Mandarin skills is strong plus

6.  Domestic and international travel at 25-30%
