Description

Position summary

Research officer in the field of Electronic/Display materials and Organic Field Effect Transistors (OFET)

 

Main Tasks:

1.     Develop novel functional ink formulations as well as industry-relevant printing and coating techniques for Organic Electronics.

2.     Design experimental plans to fabricate and characterize devices based on new organic semiconductor and dielectric ink formulations.

3.     Contribute to improve our scientific understanding of device operation.

4.     Based on a solid understanding of semiconductor physics and customer requests, analyze results and draw conclusions

5.     Compile reports of the experiments conducted and the results obtained

6.     Ensure efficient laboratory operations and contribute to an innovative spirit at our research center in Korea and global BASF R&D community

7.     Foster a culture of safe laboratory practices according to high environment, health and safety standards

 

Education/Qualifications required:

1.     A Bachelor or master degree in Physics, Engineering, Material Science, or Chemistry. A solid working knowledge of semiconductor devices.

2.     Work experience in Electronics/Display materials or Organic Field Effect Transistors including ink/coating formulation is an advantage.

1.     Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills combined with organizational skills, problem solving ability and attention to details.

2.     Enthusiasm and inventiveness, combined with a strong team-working spirit, as well as willingness to join motivated multinational team of a global company.  

3.     A flexible approach to work and an understanding of adapting to the changing demands of target-driven industrial research.

4.     Excellent command of the English language (spoken and written), and very good command of at least one Asian language (Korean, Chinese, Japanese). Command of a second Asian language is a plus.
