1. A minimum of a university/bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required in life sciences (e.g., chemistry, chemical engineering, biotechnology, microbiology etc.)

[Summary]

The Associate Quality Control Technician conducts analytical testing of pharmaceutical and biological product samples submitted to the QC laboratory according to testing schedules in a safe, compliant, and productive manner. Under general supervision, this position requires testing to be completed in compliance with all applicable procedures, standards and GMP regulations as well as all local and international regulations and guidelines (MFDS, FDA, EMA, ICH, etc.) for global clinical trials and Korean market distribution.

[Summary]

Develops and manages implementation of methods and procedures for inspection, testing and evaluation. Mentors, coaches, trains and develops the quality control staff. [Responsibilities]

1. Ensure robust, efficient, and safe team operations that are compliant with cGMP and regulatory requirement.

2. Develop an effectively functioning Quality control testing team with goals and prioritization aligned with site QC.

3. Lead team staffs, guide career development, conduct performance reviews and establishing training plans. Foster collaborative team environment and high-performance culture.

4. Facilitate/ support market release, new product introductions, team/site/global projects, and continuous improvement activities to reduces costs, improve schedule adherence.

[Requirements]

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Microbiology or related scientific discipline with a minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience (for example, lab testing, executing lab studies, developing and validating test methods in a regulated Quality Lab).

• Understanding of, and ability to interpret, applicable regulatory agency regulations and industry standards, and maintains currency on pharmacopeia compendia

• Leadership skills in coaching, development, planning and problem solving. Focused on team success to meet defined metrics and timelines

• Proficiency with computer systems (Microsoft Office applications, LIMS, Empower, etc.)

• Knowledge in analytical testing method for starting material and biological products

• Knowledge in method transfer, equipment qualification, test method (Chromatography, UV spectrophotometry, Mass spectrophotometry, Bioassay) and computer system validation etc.

• Collaborate with global SMEs for QC method validation and technical transfer activities

• Capability to conduct Out of Specification and Atypical laboratory investigations. Provide impact assessment and drive to closure.

Execution System Manager

[Summary]

Janssen Vaccines is recruiting for a Lead, Execution Systems where is located at Incheon, South Korea. The Execution Systems Lead is responsible for implementing a standard recipe based on product management processes based in Incheon Site. The Execution Systems Lead will report solid line the Site MAM(MAKE Asset Management) Lead. The Lead will lead ES engineers across manufacturing and lab space for the site responsible for one or multiple disciplines within the site Execution Systems:

• Recipe management

• Daily operations support

• Project execution

• Computerized Systems Validation & Data Integrity

• Visualization

This position will directly contribute to the development of business and capabilities on site and serves as single point of contact for peers within Execution Systems as well as across the site and within the platform.

 

[Responsibilities]

1. Project Leadership

- Project leadership of ES projects, including obtaining agreement on project definitions and priorities and ensuring that resources, capabilities, and processes are in place.

- Acts as project leader/core team members by tracking cost, quality and schedule ensuring an effective management of project execution.

- Ensures programs stay on plan by resolving resource conflicts and removing obstacles.

- Ensures sound technical engineering concepts are applied in all tasks.

- Develop a mechanism to proactively assess business needs and to identify points of leverage across functional groups in JNJ. 

- Provides site leadership for the assigned disciplines, including obtaining agreement on site ES project definitions and priorities, and ensuring that resources, capabilities and processes are in place.

- Ensures Execution Systems programs stay on plan by resolving resource conflicts and removing obstacles.

- Establishes effective working relationships and develops new partnerships with Quality, IT, TO, Operations, QC and others to optimize methodology.

- Responsible for supervising Execution Systems engineers and recipe management specialists at the site.

2. Technical Responsibilities

- Create Master Recipe within the Control System and/ or MES

- Support Execution Systems related (legacy) systems

- Configure and manage system interfaces

- Conduct local ES system data performance monitoring

- Ensure site compliance and adherence with global/ platform standards

- Feedback site needs and priorities to Global enterprise through Platform governance

- Write and execute validation protocol - CSV

- 24/7 system support (local execution)

- Execute against global SOPs (including back up, disaster recovery, user administration etc.) and manage site specific work instructions

- Participate in compliance inspections for topics related to ES systems

- Implement & maintain network configuration (in partnership with IT)

- Providing (User) training to end users and system admins

- Provide user defined reports and facilitate ad-hoc queries

3. Organizational Leadership

- Motivates and inspires site team to drive significantly increased performance through technical innovation and change.

[Requirements]

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in IT, Engineering, Science, or related scientific discipline with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Pharmaceutical Industries and /or relevant industries. 

- A technical education / degree in industrial automation, information technology or relevant engineering discipline is required.

- People management experience and demonstrated track record of developing talent is strongly preferred.

- Experience in GMP or GLP regulated environment

- Experience delivering innovative technical and engineering solutions in multiple manufacturing environments is required. 

- Knowledge of Process Excellence tools (Lean, Six Sigma) preferred. Green or Black Belt Certification in Lean or Six Sigma is preferred. 

- Knowledge of technology development and validation, including design of experiments and statistical analysis, is preferred. 

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in Korean and English.

- The ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management and drive alignment in a global environment is required.

- Must demonstrate strong cross-functional business acumen, as well as the experience in information technology deployment.
