Meta is seeking an experienced sales and marketing leader with demonstrated success managing established and emerging business categories. The Industry Manager will lead the Meta monetization strategy for the eCommerce, D2C, and CPG/Retail business for Korea businesses. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally to develop scalable solutions for their clients and their teams. They will build impactful eCommerce/D2C, CPG/Retail relevant narratives that go beyond individual client needs and build the industry’s belief in Meta’s products and solutioning. They will build and manage a strategically focused/consultative sales team, selling Meta’s advertising solutions to advertisers. We are looking for a self-starter who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, successfully managing teams and problem-solving leadership with limited oversight. Ideal candidates will have in-depth marketing expertise, management experience in a sales environment as well as extensive experience selling cross-network and multi-platform marketing solutions.
This position is located in our Seoul office and reports to the Country Director.
Industry Manager for Global Business Group, Korea Responsibilities
Develop the vision and architect strategies to grow the eCommerce/D2C and CPG/Retail verticals for Korea businesses (domestic as well as cross border)
Develop a in depth understanding of the relevant industry and the role of Meta across these industries, and build partnerships through C-suite relationships to drive impact. Translate into a vision for the industry
Build impactful eCommerce/D2C and CPG/Retail relevant narratives that go beyond individual client needs and build the industry’s belief in Meta’s products and solutioning
Solve the biggest business and marketing problems for clients across the full marketing life cycle by owning vertical & horizontal work streams that will deliver narratives and solutions at scale and in depth - across Brand, Performance
Build the GTM strategy and robust execution plans to accelerate new platforms and surfaces (e.g. Instagram, Threads)
Own and be accountable for quarterly and annual revenue goals, pipeline management and growth goals across a diversified book of the largest eCommerce, D2C, and CPG/Retail clients in Korea
Build, train and maintain a world-class, high performing consultative sales team with a broad range of experiences, perspectives, approaches, and backgrounds to support established and emerging partners
Work with cross-functional teams to optimize our efforts and align the priorities to achieve the growth
Foster learning and sharing, developing a collaborative environment, which empowers the team
Develop and implement best practices for client interaction, sales and services for Meta, including a good understanding of working with performance marketing focused partners
Effective influencing skills on client’s relationship management with strategic approaches, especially on C-level engagement
Self-starter who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, successfully managing teams and problem-solving leadership with limited oversight
Ensure high operation rigor, including effective management of on-going rhythm of business
Minimum Qualifications
10 or more years of experience with sales or marketing with 5+ years of experience with digital media/marketing and 3+ years of experience with management
Proven experience as a leader of setting strategic vision, driving revenue, and achieving operational rigor by introducing performance measures, processes and systems
Experience building full funnel advertising campaigns and demonstrated experience using advertising data to craft media strategy. Knowledge of advertising technology and data/performance measurement practices of clients
Experience driving revenue growth by building on emerging and established opportunities and establishing CXO level partnerships across clients and agencies
Storyteller with experience translating client jobs to be done into holistic solutions relevant and meaningful to clients
Ability to leverage internal Meta capabilities in a consistent, collaborative and coherent manner to land impact with client
Demonstrated capacity to adapt and prioritize against rapidly changing environments to drive growth
Experience with digital advertising technology and data/performance measurement trends
Executive presence and gravitas that will inspire the team around a common vision
Communication and presentation experience with experience translating insights, product information, and data into client value
High-level fluency in business and technical English and Korean, both verbal and written, to comfortably directly interact and collaborate in a dynamic work environment with English-speaking teams and external clients including foreigners from many countries
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in managing eCommerce clients to transform their business
Experience in marketing or sales positions, with a proven track record of creating, implementing, and executing innovative solutions that leverage business acumen and industry expertise to amplify existing programming across the company
Experience with Direct Response Marketing at brands, agencies and major media partners
Hands on experience at Meta managing these industries for Ad products is highly preferred
