The Product Team Captain plays a key role in steering the strategic direction of the product portfolio, driving product innovation initiatives, and aligning product-related content and strategies with global and local teams
The Product Team Captain works with brand managers and other stakeholders to ensure the success of Bayer's product portfolio, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support demand generation and market growth. The Product Team Captain orchestrates product team members' collaboration and coaching and consolidates overall Country Product strategy and represent Country Product Team to Region and Global
The Product Team Captain also will lead the Herbicide Product strategy as Sr. Brand Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of contact as Country representative for function-specific topics within the product team, driving alignment on product strategy, innovation, and portfolio lifecycle management.
Collaborate with global and regional product teams to ensure local product strategies are aligned with global direction and market demands
Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to brand managers on market development, portfolio management, and execution of key initiatives.
Lead the creation and execution of product plans, including coordination of resources, strategic priorities, and performance metrics.
Develop and manage long-term product lifecycle plan in line with IBP strategy
Establish 5-year long-term business plan of product portfolio in collaboration with Key Account Management (KAM) and Commercial and Marketing Development (CMD) teams
Work closely with CMD, KAM and Field Solutions (FS) teams to integrate market insights into product strategy and demand generation activities.
Foster a collaborative, innovation-driven environment that encourages data-based decision-making and experimentation.
Collaborate with the Country Commercial Lead to ensure alignment on business priorities and to support the broader commercial strategy
Lead Herbicide Product strategy as senior brand manager to develop and execute product-specific strategies for market segmentation, targeting, and positioning, in collaboration with CMD and KAM teams.
Who You Are
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agronomy, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 15 years in product management or marketing, with a focus on agricultural products.
Strong experience in strategic planning, portfolio management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Demonstrated ability to lead content-driven topics and manage product portfolios
Experience working with global teams and aligning product strategies across geographies
Experience in development and regulatory affairs is preferred
Digital business experience is preferred
