Key Account Analyst 

 

 
Essential requirements  
i. Operations/ Professional/ Business
◦Produce regular report on company/brand share, volume, and distribution performance by account and area based on consumer off take and shipment to store data.
◦Provide overall performance, budget analysis by account & align with account managers to come up with relevant recommendation.
◦Ensure team members are timely updated with necessary analysis & insights to drive share & manage volume
◦Support KAM in developing account plan with necessary insights to maximise volume, profit & share performance
◦ Provide overall performance in terms of category, brand & segment analysis per GTR account and align with GTR manager to provide necessary recommendations.
◦Work closely with brand team in any cycle performance tracking & new brand performance tracking
 
ii. Management
◦Assist to assess business performance of BAT & competitors in key accounts to enhance effectiveness of developed trade programs
 
iii. Leadership
◦Lead & co-ordinate weekly performance monitoring (share, cycle, volume, budget) & updating the team
◦Play the role as a connecting factor within trade as a Key Account Analyst driving integration, knowledge sharing, and synergy effect.
◦Operate inside of the Marketing Leadership Behaviours and Guiding Principles.
◦Able to work unsupervised in the delivery of business targets
 
iv. Relationship
Internal 
Proactively assist the Key Account Analyst in generating valuable insights  
◦Keep Key Account Executives/Manager informed of accounts’ company/brand performance.
◦Proactively engage with Brand team in providing insights during every NPI/cycle with clear performance review of competitors
◦Proactively engage with trade marketing finance team on budget monitoring & management
External ◦Develop and manage first class business relations with customer IT
 
iv. Innovation
◦Provide Key Account Manager with inputs to develop better use of customer information
◦Gather/generate innovative business opportunities in strategic accounts
◦Implement Key Account Best Practice in the areas customer information  management
 
Contextual Information
i. Context

The retail industry is undergoing unprecedented changes due to increased trade sophistication, international concentration of decision power and increased use of technology. In rapidly changing retail environment, the Customer Information Admin is BAT’s frontline in understanding and proactively responding to the changes in order to gain competitive advantage and to enhance BAT brand and profit performance.

ii. Key Success Factors
◦Successful Management of  customer information management for key account
◦Effective production of company/brand performance report
◦Effective communication with Customer and Supply Chain
◦Effective engagement across marketing function to ensure KA team is informed timely about the latest updates
