Role Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities are composed of three parts;

[1] Non-interventional studies (NIS), Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) and Compound Transfer Program (CTP) coordination,

[2] Medical Scientific Communication,

[3] Scientific Support for cross-functional team under the guidance of Korea Inflammation & Immunology Medical Lead (ML)

 

[1] NIS, ISR and CTP coordination

• Play a pro-active role in identifying and developing research strategies and opportunities.

• Support the review of the proposal by Medical Manager (MM) / Scientific Manager (SM) through searching the supporting literature and related studies inside or outside of Pfizer

• In review process, keeps constant contact with the regional/global study coordinator and if required, regional Director of Medical Affairs for review

• MSR associate oversees the contract & operational process of medical project if needed.

• Working with relevant functional line, support the activities related to Post-Marketing Surveillance (PMS) / Risk Management Plan (RMP)

[2] Medical Scientific Communication

• Communicate with the health-care professionals, esp. clinical investigators on the upfront knowledge of Pfizer products, whether in development or being marketed.

• When requested and guided by ML or MM / SM, communicates with the external scientists to facilitate individual clinical development programs

• Develop thought leader relationship and speaker.

• Generate customer insight by closely aligning with commercial partners.

[3] Scientific support for cross-functional team

• Ensure customer intelligence and customer findings are fed back into the organization to generate customer insights and leverage business opportunities

• Provide medical support to marketing and deliver medical training to sales force

• Work closely with other medical colleagues in country organization to ensure X- BU alignment of medical strategies, compliance with FCPA & GPIHP

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Academic background in the science (Bachelor or master degree in pharmacy, science, nursing is preferred)

• One year experience of interaction at a highly scientific and technical level with academics, researchers and medical profession (desirable)

• Pharmaceutical Industry experience (MA, CR, MI, OR etc.)

• Legibility of scientific and medical publications

• Knowledge of SOPs on Clinical Research and FCPA

• Strong communication skill both in written and spoken Korean & English

Medical Scientific Relations  (MSR)

Role Responsibilities:

Top Thought Leaders (TTLs) communications

• Develop strategic relationships/partnerships with TTLs

• Meet scientific educational needs of customers

• Attend relevant medical meetings, conferences as required

• Act as an interface between medical and marketing in order to facilitate TTL development

New Product Planning

• Keep abreast of latest activities within the development plan for relevant TA

• Identify research opportunities for Australia arising from development activities

Medical Information & Drug Safety

• Respond to medical enquiries in a manner that meets the scientific / clinical needs of customers

• Assist with product information and drug safety related queries, as required

Clinical Research/Non-interventional studies

• Play a pro-active role in identifying and developing research strategies and opportunities

• Assist with the choice of investigators for Global, Regional and Local studies

• Review the medical/scientific appropriateness of research proposals, in particular Investigator Sponsored Study (ISR) and Compound Transfer Program (CTP) proposals.

• Review of research reports and future publications, as required.

• Plan non-interventional study aligned with medical strategy and collaborate with MRPT and external investigators for the study

• Working with relevant functional line, support the activities related to Post-Marketing Surveillance (PMS)/ Risk Management Plan (RMP): RMP preparation/ implementation / MFDS reporting

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Desired qualifications:

            Candidate possessing a medical qualification (MD, PharmD) or a PhD and relevant pharmaceutical background will be preferred.

• Experience:

            3 years experience of interaction at a highly scientific and technical level with academics, researchers and medical profession (desirable)

            Pharmaceutical Industry experience (desirable)

            Professional expertise on therapeutic areas of Dermatology (desirable)

            Good working knowledge of relevant Industry Codes of Conduct/ Practice (desirable)

• Technical competencies:

            Legibility of scientific and medical publications

            Strong analytical, interpersonal and partnering skills

            Ability to understand and influence in a highly matrixed environment

            Ability to establish a network of key stakeholders

            Demonstrated strategic business planning abilities and superior customer management skills

            Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

            Strong project management, organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

            Strong communication skill both in written and spoken Korean & English

 

Candidates will be considered for MSRa or MSR depending on qualification.

This position may have a possibility of being reviewed to become a permanent position in the future.
