Position summary:

The Korean PM SCM team is hiring Production Planner for EP in Ansan & Yesan to manage the OMP fine planning for the Ansan & Yesan plants being responsible for raw materials planning and production planning and replenishment based on rough cut planning managed by RBU SCM.

• Implement and optimize production plan, schedule, raw materials to comply with customers’ needs at the lowest cost and working capital, in line with BU strategy.
• Ensure alignment with all internal customers (Sales, Procurement, Customer service, etc.) and plant teams.
• Manage Raw material planning and optimize inventory levels and safety stock for raw materials to support production and fulfil customer needs.
• Manage & analyze information and MRP data with Production, Finished goods and Raw materials.
• Manage essential master data to purchase, such as lead time, and minimum order quantity and maintain and update the material master materials planning in SAP accurately in a timely manner to achieve better results.

 

Main Tasks:

Detailed production plan and scheduling

• Establish a production plan and scheduling considering the production efficiency of the whole finished goods.
• Provide the best production schedule considering various factors of production like actual factory capacity, production constraint, product characteristics, customer needs, and raw material status.
• Revise production schedule and establish priorities as a result of customer sudden demand or operating problems (Quality constraints, equipment failure, or raw material supply issues).
• Follow up the production execution daily and alert in case of deviation (production late or early vs. the plan).
• Provide a production schedule to improve on-time delivery by actual vs. forecast analysis.

 

Inventory Management

• Optimize inventory levels and safety stock for whole finished goods and raw materials.
• Analysis for aged stock, dysfunctional inventory, and SLOB status.
• Review and set the action plan with related departments on how to reduce the aged stock.

Material master Maintenance for FG and RM: Maintain such as lead time, minimum order quantity etc. and update material master in SAP accurately in a timely.

 

Raw materials planning

• Establish raw materials planning for mid/long term months projections according to finished goods planning and provide to S&OP manager and planning teams.
• Optimize inventory levels and safety stock for raw materials to support production and fulfill customer needs.
• Analysis of bad inventory status and try to reduce it through cooperation with related departments.
• Provide an alert if it is expected for lack of supply of raw materials to SCM manager.
• Provide purchase forecasts for raw materials to GP and RBU SCM when requested.
• Manage and set an action plan to decrease SLOB (Slow moving & Obsolete) inventories with support from related departments.
• Manage the consumption and supply plan for critical raw materials.
• Check and support the availability of raw materials for Industrial Trials.

 

Education/Qualifications required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or Chemical Engineering.
• Around 5 years of experience in supply chain, production planning, and operations management.
• Experience in supply chain operations
• Experience with SAP (Material Master/MM & SD, P2P, etc. modules) and international trading.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Intermediate proficiency in written and spoken English communication, Native level of Korean.
