Specialist, Inbound Logistics
(Contract, 1 year)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Ensure product is delivered On Time and In Full according to customer orders and specification, within agreed timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with freight forwarders, Carriers, Custom, Distribution Centre, Purchasing and Customer Service in order to ensure timely and accurate visibility of information and on time delivery for all accounts.
- Update the business on shipment delays to manage expectations.
- Ensure the accuracy of tracking reports and providing the business with up to date information when requested.
- Update delivery dates in system to maintain the data record.
- Ensure carriers adhere to set dock dates and lead times to ensure seamless logistic process.
- Get access and share container status inquiries with markets on request.
- Ensure containers are consolidated to maximize container fill and potential direct containers are packed inline with specific customer requirements.
- Monitor any delays between ex-factory dates, forwarder cargo receipt date and vessel departure date.
- Apply air freight tactically (shipment mode to be driven by order book status - not all late ex-factory orders need air freight).
- Prioritizing shipment for intake based on customer book dates, key product launch dates, and product availability.
- Create new tracking reports, when required, to manage the timely delivery of product.
- Manage end to end transit times to ensure product is brought into the DC’s in a timely fashion.
- Monitor damaged or missing stock and filling in claims as required.
- Develop new processes to ensure the timely delivery of product to the warehouse door.
- Create the Warehouse Intake Schedules by reconciling DC daily intake capacity with retail intro date of goods to ensure their the goods are delivered timely by the intro dates.
- Create or amend Advanced Shipping Notifications (ASN’s) in the warehouse control systems.
- Create and update Volume Reports, Container Location Reports, Carrier Performance Reports, KPI’s.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- MS Office (Excel/Access; Outlook; Word; Powerpoint)
- SAP knowledge
- Possess analytical and process skills
- Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organization skills
- Fluent in English (oral and in writing)
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in supply chain and/ or sourcing, or footwear and apparel internationally.
