Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Support the adidas Group with an effective, controlled customs operation which supports the business goals and ensures compliance with all legal requirements for both imports and exports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Secure compliance with valid legal regulations according to customs, foreign trade, customs value and preferential law.
• Check of completeness and content of customs documents considering the legal regulations for customs and foreign trade by collaborative with the Customs broker.
• Plausibility checks of customs data that has been transferred to the system from former systems and check of proceeding inquiry before delivery of the customs declaration.
• Coordination with Inbound Logistics, freight forwarders, transport service providers and customs broker regarding delivery plans in order to ensure timely customs clearance.
• Communication with Global Customs for rating and preference questions.
• Review, consolidate and implement adidas-Group standards, policies and SOP as related to customs compliance.  Determine and initiate actions to ensure compliance is met.
• Consolidate monthly and quarterly KPI reporting and co-ordinate communication of relevant reports to business units for follow up activities.
• Work in conjunction with Sourcing operation and Liaison Offices to ensure required customs documents have been issued correctly according to customs regulations from all vendors.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• MS Office (Excel/Access; Outlook; Word; Powerpoint)
• SAP knowledge
• Possess analytical and process skills
• Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organization skills
• Fluent in English (oral and in writing)
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret governmental regulations

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• 0-2 years of work experience, preferably in supply chain and/ or sourcing, or footwear and apparel internationally.
