Description

 

n Objectives:

Develop material systems for Organic Electronics, in particular Organic Thin Film Transistors. Contribute to joint development projects with customers from the electronic industry ensuring a competitive edge for BASF.

 

 

n Main Tasks:

· Develop novel organic semiconductor formulations as well as industry-relevant printing and coating techniques.

· Conduct experiments for device fabrication and characterization.

· Contribute to improve our scientific understanding of device operation.

· Create ideas and new concepts meeting the requirements for commercialization of our materials systems.

· Document experimental results and share them with a global team of experts in BASF.

· Foster a culture of safe laboratory practices according to high environment, health and safety standards

 

 

n Education/Qualification:

§ A Masters degree in Physics, Engineering, Material Science, or Chemistry. Knowledge of organic electronic devices.

§ Work experience in Organic Thin Film Transistors and/or Carbon Nanotubes is an advantage.

§ Good presentation and excellent interpersonal skills combined with organizational skills, problem solving ability and attention to details.

§ Good command of the English language (spoken and written), and very good command of at least one Asian language (Korean, Chinese, Japanese). Command of a second Asian language is a plus.
