Position Overview:
• To render legal support/services on 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
• This role is a project contractor till June 30, 2018.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities

Trademark Matters (Search/Application/Opposition/Infringement/Ambush Marketing)
• Search through free internet search tool "KIPRIS" and preliminary analysis
• Coordination for trademark search and registration (co-work with Trademark Counsel and external firms)
• Supportive follow-up as necessary collaborating with business, POCOG in terms of preparation of incident report and deciding our reaction for cease and desist

Review and Approval of Marketing Materials/PR Communications
• Review of marketing materials (Package Label, POSM , TVC, etc.) based upon local laws and regulations and the Company policy
• Premium/Uniform/Pin sample review and guidance as appropriate

Preparation and Negotiation of Local Contracts (both Korean & English)
• Review/preparation of local contracts 
• Handling of TCCC agreements/documents as necessary

Take care All Other Legal Issues
• Keep monitoring and update of local laws and regulations  
• Legal guidance to make sure the compliance with local laws and the Company policies
• Advice on and handling a dispute if any    
• AAR follow-up after 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Games

System Work Follow-Up
• KOSignIT follow-up  
• KOArt follow-up  
• Legal InfoGuide update/management  
• Legal filing

Knowledge and Skills

Core Accountabilities:
• Handling of trademark matters, incl. ambush marketing  
• Review of marketing initiatives, consumer communications
• Preparation and negotiation of local contracts (Kor. & Eng.)
• Take care of all other legal issues

What functional knowledge is required:
• Understanding of trademark laws and the Company trademark guidelines and other policies
• Understanding of food law, competition regulations, Olympic related special laws and other regulations
• Skill in drafting a legal document, especially review & draft of various contracts both in Korean and English
• Search and analysis of precedent cases

What core skill is required:
• Effective communication 
• Logical analysis
• Proactive attitude to provide a solution 
• Legal mind

Qualifications and Experience Required
• Bachelor's degree of Law
• Lawyer License preferred (domestic or foreign)
• English Profiency Level: Reading and Writing (High), Speaking (High Middle)
